Mission Statement from Commander Larry Smith

At Stone City VFW Post 2199, our mission is to honor the brave men and women who have served our country and to ensure their sacrifices are remembered and celebrated. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where veterans and their families can connect, share their stories, and find a sense of belonging. Our post stands as a testament to the values of loyalty, camaraderie, and respect, fostering a community that uplifts and supports each other in times of need.

We are passionate about empowering our members through a variety of programs designed to address the challenges faced by veterans. We host many events that bring together our community, encouraging engagement and camaraderie among veterans, their families, and local residents. Our goal is to create an environment where veterans know they are never alone on their journey and can find support and friendship.
