Skip joined the VFW in 2007 and has since been an active and dedicated member. His leadership journey includes serving as Post Commander at VFW Post 367 and Post Chaplain at Post 2199. Currently, he proudly holds the role of Quartermaster at Stone City VFW Post 2199, where his commitment and experience greatly contribute to the post’s operations.
His military service is marked by notable bravery and skill. From 1968 to 1969, Skip served in Vietnam as a Combat Engineer, taking on the vital and dangerous role of mine sweeper and operating heavy equipment to support his unit. This hands-on experience shaped his strong work ethic and leadership qualities.
Beyond his VFW responsibilities, Skip extends his compassion to the community by volunteering at Lightways Hospice, offering support and care to those in need. His dedication both within the VFW and in volunteer service exemplifies a lifelong commitment to helping others and honoring the values he stands for.
